LightSpace Technologies Announces Its Enterprise Grade Multi Focal Accommodating 3D Augmented Reality Headset
Riga, 2020-02-12 10:50 CET --
LightSpace Technologies, the associated company of HansaMatrix AS, announced today plans for developing its enterprise grade AR MR headsets. On February 3-4, 2020 Company’s multi focal 3D image concept headset IG1000 with revolutionary eye accommodation was outstandingly showcased at SPIE Photonics West AR MR VR 2020 industry conference and expo in San Francisco, USA. As a result number of Information Technology, Automotive and Medical globally leading corporations invited to meet with their teams and expressed interest in a new LightSpace headset architecture. With two of them Company already has started technology R&D projects. LightSpace plans to develop enterprise multi focal AR headset models based on close partnership with several global market leaders representing medical, automotive and professional 3D graphics applications. Developer kits will be available already in Q3 2020, with commercial sales scheduled to start in Q1 2021.
Concept AR headset model IG1000 comprises multi focal accommodation near eye 3D image displays that are aimed at professionals in fields of smart manufacturing, training and simulation, medical procedures, education and other applications requiring optically precise 3D visualization of highly detailed visual objects in true three dimensions reconstructing them at most optimal viewing distances (0.3m - 0.8m) from eyes. LightSpace multi focal optical architecture provides comfortable viewing experience and eye strain free usage of a system for longer periods. Optical system creates eye accommodation depth cues across several diopters. Company’s patent pending multifocal optical architecture offers high resolution mixed reality 3D image display without Vergence Accommodation Conflict for human vision system.
“The key differentiator in these multi focal AR headsets is optical architecture that provides eye accommodation which is critical for near distance highly detailed 3D imagery visualization, and that is lacking in most of today’s offered AR headsets” said Madara Kalnina-Kalnmale, MD of LightSpace Technologies.
“LightSpace optical designs are based on LightSpace proprietary key enabling fast switching liquid crystal photonics technology that can be applied to design eye-friendly future consumer AR glasses products. It does not require any further technological breakthrough and is ready for product design” confirmed Ilmars Osmanis, Company’s, CEO.
