Notification on material event

Regarding change of the name of Lietuvos Energija, UAB

Lietuvos Energija, UAB (hereinafter – the Company), company code 301844044, with its registered office at Žvejų str. 14, Vilnius, Republic of Lithuania. The total nominal value of issued bonds 600 000 000 EUR; ISIN codes XS1646530565; XS1853999313.

As has been previously announced, on 16th through 17th of April 2019, the Company has lodged with the State Patent Bureau of the Republic of Lithuania and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) the applications for the registration of trademarks Ignitis, Ignitis power, Ignitis gamyba, Ignitis renewables, Ignitis grupė, Ignitis group, and the related visual elements – logos.

The Company hereby notifies that, with regard to the plans to change the trademarks, the Board of the Company has decided to amend the Articles of Association of Lietuvos Energija, UAB by changing therein the legal name to UAB Ignitis grupė. On the 5th of August, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania, which is the body implementing the rights of the shareholder of the Company, favoured the amendment to the Articles of Association.

There are also plans to make the following changes to the names of companies belonging to Lietuvos Energija, UAB group of companies (hereinafter – the Group): to change the name of Lietuvos Energijos Gamyba, AB to AB Ignitis gamyba, the name of UAB Lietuvos energija renewables to UAB Ignitis renewables and to change the name of UAB Lietuvos Energijos Tiekimas to UAB Ignitis.

The main aim of this change is to consolidate different trademarks owned by Lietuvos Energija, UAB and the Group in to the one modern international trademark, and optimize the expenses dedicated to the communication in a long run.

The new trademark and the legal name are scheduled to be presented to the public in September. It should be noted that the trademark of AB Energijos Skirstymo Operatorius, that belongs to the Group will remain unchanged.

Information on specific decisions will be disclosed in accordance with the requirements laid down in the legal acts governing public disclosure of such information, and by ensuring that relevant, adequate and complete information is provided to stakeholders.
