Valmieras stikla šķiedra JSC announcement
We inform that yesterday, on October 24, at 13:02, in Valmieras stikla šķiedra JSC, Cempu iela 13, Valmiera, a glass leakage was detected on the side-wall near to the metal linie of one of the four glass melting furnaces, resulting in the leaking of molten glass into the retention basin. The flow of molten glass was stopped immediately by own staff, and the State Fire and Rescue Service were called as a normal routine for safety reasons. Neither persons nor equipment were damaged.
During the night till this morning the production of the effected furnace was resumed.
The team of the company will keep the impact of the incident on production as low as possible.
