Salalah MoorMaster™ order valued at approx. EUR 10M, including three-year maintenance contract

The Cavotec MoorMaster™ automated mooring order for the Port of Salalah, announced earlier today, is valued at approximately EUR 10 million for 16 MoorMaster™ units and a three-year maintenance contract.

As announced, Cavotec is to supply 16 MoorMaster™ MM400E units for container berths 3 and 4 at the Port of Salalah in Oman.

The three-year maintenance contract – a renewal of an existing agreement – will see Cavotec onsite service teams working closely with the port to provide support at all five berths where MoorMaster™ units are installed.

MoorMaster™ is a vacuum-based automated mooring technology that eliminates the need for conventional mooring lines. To date, some 200 MoorMaster™ units have performed some 215,000 mooring operations at ferry, bulk handling, Ro/Ro, container and lock applications worldwide.
